"I've been using this set for about 1 year now and have used the set on both gas and electric stoves. On electric, the set heats up decently fast and cooks pretty evenly, you just have to be careful not to use the burner on high, as it will potentially warp the aluminum disk on the base. On gas, the set is great - even cooking, fast boiling, and no problems with using it on high heat. The set works great for cooking just about anything I've tried. My biggest problem is that the handles heat up a fair amount if cooking something on high heat or for extended periods of time. The silicone rubber grip doesn't cover the entire handle, so the exposed metal can get pretty hot (I haven't burned myself, but there may be potential to). Just use potholders if boiling water, etc. Overall it is a good buy - a great price for a great looking set that performs well.
Also note - there are two types of sets out there- the copper-bottom has all-metal lids. The aluminum-disk bottom has metal rimmed glass lids (which is what I've been using). The glass is great since you can still see when the lid's on."
